Car Crash

🗓️7th July 2023 🚗💥🛻The day of the car crash. We were rear-ended by a rental (white) @ramtrucks and our car (black @honda) has a huge dent in the trunk.

I was at an intersection, and there was a car in front of me. The light was green, and everyone was about to go, but then we saw a police car with its lights on going through the intersection and everyone slammed on the brakes. Unfortunately, the car behind us wasn’t paying attention and smashed right into us. Luckily, we didn’t hit the car in front of us. We called 911 and told them where we were located. We all pulled into a car repair shop (ironically) with the police escorting us there. The police got a statement post from us and the other vehicle. The other vehicle couldn’t get a hold of their rental car for the insurance information. The police said that he already wrote a police report and said we can access it online. He told the people who ran into us that it was their fault for following too close behind us. He also said to call our insurance company (@progressive). Hopefully, we will get in touch with the insurance company on Monday and see what will happen.

Unfortunately, the car doesn’t work anymore, the brakes are not working, the steering wheel is stopped, the vehicle's stabilizer is broken, emission system is malfunctioning. We can’t afford repairs out of pocket, since the insurance company from the other party, could take longer to get our car repaired.
