ER Trip (Nala)

Month of April

Last night Nala threw up about 4 times in the last hour at 8pm. We found the closets ER and headed over. We were there for 3 hours waiting. We met with the vet and asked us what was going on. I told him in our apartment complex they sprayed these chemicals on the grass. [The company didn’t put up a sign apparently they claim it should be pet friendly. But pet friendly stuff shouldn’t stain your dogs paws yellow or blue.] That’s when she started to get sick (2 days ago). Nala didn’t eat any of the grass to our knowledge as we watch her like a hawk when she goes to the bathroom. They did some tests on her and concluded it must have been the chemicals from the grass. They said to keep her inside the house and monitor her. They gave her a nauseous shot and pills then they sent us home with her. We didn’t get back home until 11pm.

On Tuesday she threw up six times that day and Monday night in her cage, she threw up, but we don’t know how many times.

NOTE:

Around the surrounding areas of our complex, I believe they still did the chemical stuff on the grass as Nala continued to get sick. Luckily, her breathing in the air with the grass doesn’t cause her to vomit. It’s more of when she gets in contact with the grass (not with her mouth)
