Banana Bread

This a great and fast meal for the whole family.

A HISTORY STORY: Banana

Bananas were originally found in South East Asia, mainly in India. They were brought west by Arab conquerors in 327 B.C. and moved from Asia Minor to Africa and finally carried to the New World by the first explorers and missionaries to the Caribbean.

Banana bread is a type of bread made from mashed bananas. It is often a moist, sweet, cake-like quick bread; however there are some banana bread recipes that are yeast raised breads.

Instructions

• 3 ripe bananas, mashed

• 1 cup white sugar

• 1 egg

• ¼ cup melted butter

• 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour

• 1 teaspoon baking soda

• 1 teaspoon salt

• add chocolate chips (option)

• add walnuts (option)

Cook in Oven

• 350 for 20-30 mins

• 9x5 inch loaf pan
